The Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund
The Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund was established in 1991 for beautification projects in North Kansas City. As a beneficiary of the Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund, the City established the Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund Projects Committee in 2018. Its main purpose serves to identify projects that enhance North Kansas City’s quality of life and create a culturally rich community. Since then, it has been working to develop ideas and implement projects to beautify North Kansas City.
Civic Canvas: A Community Art Project
The Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund Projects Committee is proud to launch Civic Canvas, a community-driven public art initiative designed to beautify North Kansas City while celebrating the creativity of our residents. Through this project, eight utility boxes along Armour Road and one at 18th & Swift will be transformed into vibrant works of art that reflect the spirit, history, pride, and hopes for the future of Northtown.
This collaborative effort brings together artists of all ages—from our preschool-aged residents and home/private school students to learners at Briarcliff Elementary, Crestview Elementary, Eastgate 6th Grade Center, Northgate Middle School, and North Kansas City High School. Each utility box will showcase original artwork that captures what makes North Kansas City special, turning everyday infrastructure into a colorful “civic canvas” for the entire community to enjoy.
