Friday Greetings,

On Monday, June 7, northbound traffic on Linn Street will be detoured to Macon Street to allow for the installation of a new sewer lateral pipe for the new Gallery Loft apartment project on Armour Road.  Southbound traffic will still have access to Linn Street from Armour Road during construction.  Northbound traffic on Linn Street is expected to be restored on June 12, weather pending. 

Brad Muieller will be joining the Finance Division as an Accountant on June 14.  Welcome aboard!

Mayor DeLong has requested that the Progress Pride Flag be displayed at City Hall during the month of June.  Staff has ordered the flag and will display it as soon as it arrives. 

The 5th Annual Arts in the Park Festival is next weekend, Friday, June 11, 5-10 p.m., and Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The festival showcases 30+ artists, a variety of live entertainment for kids and adults, food trucks and a beer garden.

We welcome you to spend your lunch hour at the Macken Festival Shelter for the Friday in the Park concert series this summer. 

On Thursday, June 17, the Parks & Recreation Department is hosting their Bowties & Tiaras event.  

Help for local families struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic is available through a program being administered by Clay County. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program can help families who rent their homes get caught up on past due rent and utility bills.  If you are eligible, make sure to fill out an interest form by clicking the button on our Rental Assistance Portal, which can be found here: https://www.claycountymo.gov/transparency/erap.
