- The City of North Kansas City is pleased to extend the opportunity for businesses to apply for a grant through the Streetscape Beautification Program. This City program was created to help beautify our town by matching funds for projects located along streets or highway rights-of-way. The City will offer matching grants of up to $5,000, paid on a reimbursable basis. Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2026, with a project completion date of September 1, 2026. - Bitter cold weather continues this weekend. Take action to prevent frozen pipes:
- Let faucets drip slightly to keep water moving.
- Open cabinets under sinks to let warm air circulate around pipes.
- Keep the thermostat consistent, even at night.
- Insulate exposed pipes outside and in unheated areas like basements or attics.
- Seal drafts around windows and doors to keep the cold out.
- Applications are officially open for the 10th Annual Arts in the Park Festival in North Kansas City at Macken Park. Applications are available at www.artsinthepark.org/apply. Application deadline is Sunday, March 29, by 11:59 p.m.
