Christmas tree pickup occurs on the first three Tuesdays of January - January 6, 13 & 20.

To be eligible for collection, trees must not have tinsel, lights, or any items not originally part of the tree. Place the tree where you usually place your yard waste.

GEST - New Door-to-Door Shuttle Service in the Northland
In December, the City launched GEST, a new on-demand, door-to-door ride shuttle service designed to make local travel simpler, more accessible, and more connected for residents, workers, and visitors. 

GEST services include:

  • Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • $3 rides per person/per ride
  • Door-to-door pickup
  • Book by calling/texting 816-919-4378.

The program serves NKC, Gladstone, Liberty, Riverside, Parkville, and select Northland destinations. For more information, visit www.gestcarts.com.
