- On Thursday night, the North Kansas City Fire Department held its 12th Annual Pinning Ceremony to honor the men and women who serve the community. Thank you to the fire department for your dedication & commitment to NKC!
- This year marks the eighth year of NKC Parks & Rec’s Feel the Warmth Project, which provides scarves, hats, and gloves to anyone in need of a little extra warmth during the winter season. Community donations make this project possible. All donations will be tagged with a note and hung on the fencelines of Dagg Park, Macken Park, and Waggin’ Trail Dog Park the morning of Monday, November 24, and will be available through Wednesday, November 26, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- City facilities will be closed November 28-29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

- Filing for the April 7, 2026, Municipal Election will begin on Monday, December 9, 2025, at 8 a.m. in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 2010 Howell Street, and will close on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. Please note that City Hall will close at noon on Wednesday, December 24, and will be closed all day on December 25 and 26. The April 7, 2026, election will include one Councilmember from each of Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4. If you wish to file, please bring a photo ID and $5 for the processing fee.
