PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE

MISSION STATEMENT


The administrative office strives to effectively and efficiently coordinate the duties of the Building & Grounds Maintenance Division, Code Enforcement Division, Street Division, Water Division, and the Water Pollution Control Division, so that the day to day business can run as smoothly as possible and to insure that public funds are allocated in the proper manner.


BUILDING & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE DIVISION

MISSION STATEMENT


The Building & Grounds Maintenance Division strives to provide a healthy, wholesome and attractive atmosphere for North Kansas City residents and supporters, with a main objective being to provide quality maintenance to city buildings and utmost care to city properties.


STREET DIVISION

MISSION STATEMENT


The Street Division is obligated to provide the highest quality of service for the residents, business community, and the visitors of North Kansas City, and to maintain a clean, safe and aesthetically appealing environment for all.


WATER DIVISION

MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of the Water Division is to produce a quality water that is not only safe, but also meets and exceeds the stringent guidelines set by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and regulations and guidelines set forth by MDNR & EPA, and to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.


WATER POLLUTION CONTROL DIVISION

MISSION STATEMENT


Staff’s mission is to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the sewer system that will interfere with the operation of the sewer system or cause damage to the infrastructure or equipment: to protect City personnel who may be affected by wastewater in the course of their employment; and to protect the general public.
