Friday Greetings,

KCPL reinstalled the street light that was removed for the Realignment of the 32nd Avenue and Swift Intersection Project.  The intersection is now brighter at night and safer for motorists and pedestrians.

The Historical Society of North Kansas City with the help of Ms. Darlene Smith unveiled and dedicated an important Historical Marker today at 1017 Swift Street.  The current owner of the location is MTS Contracting, Inc., but from around 1887 to 1973 the site was home to the Palmer House.  Pioneer Willard Winner built the structure to welcome people to the Northland. The dedication was made possible by funding from Historical Society of North Kansas City, City of North Kansas City, and resident Darlene Smith.

We would like to welcome our new firefighter Brian Haynes – welcome aboard!  His first day with us will be Monday, April 16.
