Yesterday afternoon, a street failure occurred along the southbound lane of Taney Street, just south of East 15th Avenue. This is the second sinkhole that has occurred in the area in the past two weeks caused by high water table in that area. Public Works crews excavated the sunken area and filled the hole, but the area is too wet and unstable to pave at this time.
