Candidate Filing for the April 2, 2019 Election in North Kansas City
Filing for the April 2, 2019, Municipal Election will begin on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. and will close on January 15, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.  The election will be to choose one Councilmember for each of the four wards of North Kansas City, Missouri.  Filing will take place at the office of the City Clerk, North Kansas City City Hall, 2010 Howell Street, North Kansas City MO  64116.

City Hall doors will open at 8:00 a.m. on December 11, and filing will begin thereafter.  Those wishing to file will need to sign in at the front desk in the foyer of City Hall.  At 8:00 a.m., the City Clerk will begin meeting with filers in order of their arrival to complete their Declaration of Candidacy.   Names will be placed on the ballot using a random lottery system.  On January 17, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, entries will be drawn on a blind bases by the City Clerk to determine the order of the names on the ballot.  The candidate name drawn first will be the first listed on the ballot, the name drawn second will be the second on the ballot, and so forth.
