Armour Road Complete Street Construction
Posted on 06/25/2019
Gunter Construction, the contractor installing Phase 1 of the City’s Armour Road Complete Street improvements, mobilized this week to begin construction work. Traffic control devices have been installed between Ozark and Fayette along Armour Road.
Survey work began this morning and demolition work is expected to begin this week. On Thursday, June 27, the contractor is expected to have a flagman out on Armour Road as they haul away demolition debris. This project has a 45-day construction period and work is expected to be substantially complete by the beginning of August, weather pending.
Once complete, Armour Road will have bike lanes from Ozark to Fayette, new truck route signage east of Linn Street, new bump out islands and decorative crosswalks at the intersection of Armour and Iron, and new parallel parking spaces added to Armour Road between Linn and Fayette. The City will continue to provide updates on construction progress during this project.
